Trauma and PTSD Therapy

Trauma and PTSD Therapy in London, Ontario

Trauma can stay with us long after an event is over. You might notice flashbacks, nightmares, feeling on edge, numbness, or reactions that seem bigger than the moment. These are understandable responses, and support is available.

Signs trauma may be affecting you

  • Unwanted memories, nightmares or flashbacks
  • Feeling constantly on guard or easily startled
  • Avoiding reminders of what happened
  • Feeling numb, disconnected or detached
  • Difficulty trusting others or feeling safe
  • Strong emotional reactions that are hard to explain

How therapy can help

Our counsellors offer trauma-focused, attachment-based and somatic approaches, and tools from CBT and ACT. The goal is to help you manage trauma symptoms rather than having them manage you, at a pace that feels safe. You stay in control of what you share and when.

What sessions look like

Sessions are 50 minutes by secure video from a private space at home. Early sessions focus on getting to know you, building safety and agreeing on goals before any deeper trauma work begins.

You do not have to carry this alone. A free consultation is a chance to ask questions and go at your own pace.

What to expect at your first appointment

Experience you can trust

Our social workers have worked in community mental health, addiction treatment, corrections and healthcare, settings where trauma is part of daily practice.
