Megan Armstrong

Megan Armstrong has been a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers since 2013. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Windsor between 2009 and 2013. After graduation, she was employed in a social work role within the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. She later returned to London, where she held the role of Mental Health & Addictions Counsellor between 2014 and 2017. During this time, Megan returned to the University of Windsor for further professional education designed for working practitioners.

Since 2018, Megan has been employed as a Mental Health & Addictions Clinician within a community hospital and also sees clients in a private practice capacity. Over the past 10 years in the field, she has developed a strong interest in helping people with emotional understanding and regulation, trauma and PTSD treatment, and interpersonal challenges.

Megan works from an eclectic model, blending her training to meet the unique needs of those she supports. She collaborates closely with clients to help them reach their goals, providing a mix of psychoeducation, asking “Why is this happening?”, and therapeutic tools, asking “How can I make changes or do things differently?”, tailored to individual needs.

If you are looking to change how you respond to or express your emotions, manage trauma symptoms rather than having them manage you, or develop further insight and understanding to move forward, you and Megan may be a good fit. Her virtual model allows her to work with clients across Canada, not just in London. You can book a complimentary brief consult online or contact Megan through the contact form to get started today.
